Nature

Sylhet is a major attraction for tourists visiting Bangladesh. Sylhet is on the middle of the Khasia and the Jaintia hills on the north side, and the Tripura hills on the south side, Sylhet breaks the monotony of the smoothness of this land by a huge number of terraced tea gardens, rising and falling countryside and the exotic flora and fauna.

Here the wide tropical forests abound with many variety of wildlife, spread their smell around the distinctive hearth and homes of the Mainpuri ethnic maidens well-known for their dance. The Sylhet valley is formed by a gorgeous, zigzag pair of rivers named the Surma and the Kushiara both of which are fed by incalculable hill streams from north and the south. In the winter these haors are incalculable stretches of green ground, but in the rainy season they turn into turbulent seas. Haors deliver a safe haven to the millions of traveling birds who fly from Siberia across the Himalayas to keep away from the severe cold there. A visit to the tea agricultural estate in Sylhet is a exceptional experience. Sylhet is not only has over 150 tea gardens but also proudly possesses three biggest tea gardens in the world in both area and production. Sylhet is the land of Shrine’s, natural Hills, forests, gorgeous tree plantations and lots of Haors.
