Bandarban district


Bandarban district is located about 75 kilometers east of chittagong district under chittagong division. The total area of Bandarban covers 4,479 sq km and is not only the remotest district of the country, but also is the least populated. The three highest peak of Bangladesh - Tahjindong (1280 m), Mowdok Mual (1052 m), and Keokradong (1230 m) are located in here.The Raikhiang Lake, the highest lake in Bangladesh is also laying here along with the Chimbuk peak and Boga Lake which are one of the greatest tourist attractions of the country.
 It takes about an hour to go to Bandarban from chittaogong district and it takes marely 100tk in bus. For tourists, those who’d love to travel a lot, many tourist services are available, might cost a little bit more.
 Bandarban is an ideal place for trailing, hiking, and jungle walk. Trail to Keokradong (highest peak in Bangladesh) is an exciting and popular trailing rout. While you trail in this natural trail, you might have to stay in tribal village at night.
The Hill Side Resort is the best place to stay in Bandarban. Its situated about 4 KM from the main district of Bandarban. You can get a breathtaking view of hills around you there. You will get all required amenities out there, costs around 1000 a day.
 The sarna mandir , a temple by the Buddhist is the main attraction of Bandarban. It is located 4 km away from the town and you can visit that place simply by hiring a rickshaw. The temple is golden in color and gives magnificent view in sunlight. It is prohibited to take any photographs inside the temple, but you are always welcome to take pictures outside.
 Chimbuk and Nilgiri are known as the Darziling of Bangladesh. These two beautiful hilltops are in Bandarban District and about 2300-2500 feet above ground. Both the places are beautified by resorts and you can see clouds playing around and beneath you. It takes 2000-2500 taka to have  a travel in jeep out there , but surely you’ll forget about that after watching the sun going down standing on a piece of heave .
 Amongst the other famous places worth watching, the Keokradong (1230 m) is place you would love to go. It is the second highest peak of Bangladesh and you can climb it up.
 You can pay a visit to Bogalake, where the violate water will welcome you with immense pleasure, you can make a trip to ruma, enjoy a cup of coffee over 500 feet rock mountain.
 That is Bandarban, which is beautiful from any angle you see it. So, let’s take some time from busy life and try to enjoy vacation days out there.
