Rangamati

Rangamati is a district at the eastern part of chittagong division, lying beside the beautiful kaptai lake. It is 77km east of Chittagong, is beautifully situated over a series of islands in Kaptai Lake and it’s the place every Bangladeshi wants to take their holidays. The town was originally laid out as an administrative centre and modern-day hill station in the 1960s, but the real charm of Rangamati lies not in the town itself but rather in the lush, outstanding and mindblowing surrounding countryside.
People are mostly tribal and very hospitable. While visiting Rangamati you have to save minimum one day for travelling by boat in the Kaptai Lake so that you can watch all the interesting places in Rangamati. Reserve Bazar is the place from where you can   hire the boat for the whole day and the cost will be 2000 tk for about 20 persons. If you take a small boat for 10, you can bargain and make it 1000tk. The Most visit worthy places in Rangamati are - Bonbihar, Rajbari, Pedatingting Pahar, Vedvedi Pahar, Buddhist Temple, Shuvolong Waterfall and at last the famous hanging bridge in Rangamati.
Banarupa Tourists' Inn is the best place for staying in Rangamati . Also Motel Gorge, Hotel Sufia and Parzatan Motel are good enough for food and accommodation. Depending upon the fascilty provided, the charge may vary from 600-1000 taka. Or if you can manage the rangamati circuit house, that will be the very best place to stay and roam around.
Amongst all the places in rangamati I can guarantee about the shubalong waterfall which is one of the best waterfall in the country. The magnificent view of forced water falling from 700 feet will simply blow your mind. Also there is a restaurant in island name Peda ting Ting, where you will be served with famous tribal foods and these are very delicious.
In Short, all I can say about rangamati is that it is a hidden beauty of Bangladesh, unless you discover it, you’ll never know the charm of natural beauty and traditional heritage.
